FAQ
Q&A
Where are you located?
We are located at 2912b Jones Ferry Road, Chapel Hill, NC 27516.
Is your farm certified organic?
USDA organic certification is a time intensive process and can be cost prohibitive for small farms like ours. While we aren’t certified, we have always and will always use organic practices. These practices include fertilizing with compost and other natural products like fish emulsion, as well as controlling pests and diseases with natural products like diatomaceous earth and neem oil. We never use harmful pesticides. If you ever have specific questions about our growing practices, you can reach out and ask us using the contact info listed at the bottom of this page.
Is your farm open to visitors?
Our farm is located within Transplanting Traditions Community Farm, which is a space shared with other farmers and nonprofit staff. To inquire about a tour of the whole farm, you can reach out to info@transplantingtraditions.org (mailto:info@transplantingtraditions.org)or (919) 885-4063. Our CSA members are welcome to schedule a time with us directly if they’d like to see just our section of the farm. Please feel free to ask us about finding a time when you see us at CSA pick-up.
Where can I buy your produce and flowers?
You can buy our produce on Tuesdays and Saturday at the Chapel Hill Farmers Market,(https://www.thechapelhillfarmersmarket.com/) on Wednesdays at the Carrboro Farmers Market (https://www.carrborofarmersmarket.com/)as well as Wednesday and Saturday at the Durham Farmers Market.(https://www.durhamfarmersmarket.com/) We also run our CSA throughout the year.
